Human creating an Alien world

Hi! 

The Gift Invasion is the game that was my final year's project in Games Design and Creative writing course. I was tasked to create a game with colourful world with complex narrative that would not only captivate players but also make sense. 

If you asked me "Why Moths as Aliens?", I would simply reply: "Moths look cool, but I would not want to get swarmed with them." That's how the original idea was created. 

I started writing the narrative for this game on September, 2022 and finished it on  February 2023. 

The deeper I went with the story, the more attached to it I became. Aliens, or Feinaai, became species I am fond of and curious about. They became a mirror of how I see humanity, but maybe slightly better. Eager to find new home after ruining their own planet, having no tolerance to other species because they are weaker. Once great creatures, now were shrivelled cave dwellers, not capable of bearing healthy offsprings. 

I wanted to let the player help Feinaai find a new home, befriend fellow villagers and see Humans from the perspective of aliens.
